About the New England Chapter of
the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators
A Little About our History
The New England Chapter of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators was founded in 1999. The primary purpose for the formation of the Chapter was about providing encouragement and support for scientific illustrators through networking, technique workshops and public education.
A Little About our Meetings
The New England Chapter holds three General Meetings a year in January, May and September. We also try to have monthly events going on all year long, which may include sketching field trips, demonstrations, workshops, portfolio sharing or lectures. General Meetings are usually held at the Nature Lab on Waterman Street at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island.
Members, their guests or anyone interested in scientific illustration are always welcome to participate in any Chapter events. If you want to become a member of the Chapter, please visit our membership page for more information.
