Curiosity: Illustrating the Wonders of Nature & Science
Natural science illustrators have a common goal: communicating the wonders of nature and science to inform and educate scientists, researchers, students, health care professionals, and the public. The illustrating process creates wonder and engagement with the subject matter using elegant “cutaways” or cross-sections, transparent or “see-through” views, and explanatory smaller images or insets to emphasize areas of focus. The artwork in this exhibition will be created to help audiences understand and appreciate the wonders of the natural and scientific world – sparking curiosity, increasing understanding, heightening appreciation, and prompting further exploration.
Our exhibit will be on public display from March 30, 2024, through June 1, 2024, at the Great Ponds Gallery located in the Lakeville Public Library.

Our Mission – Art, Education, and Science
Our annual themed exhibit is instrumental in bringing our mission of combining art, education, and science out into the public. Increasing public awareness completes the circle, by using our art to teach our audience something that applies right here in their daily lives. We invite you to explore the artwork in our exhibit and engage your curious mind as we illustrate the wonders of nature & science.
